FLEETWOOD, Pa. – The Shepherd University women's golf team is in fifth place in a six-team field after first round action at the Kutztown Fall Classic at Moselem Springs Golf Club on Sunday. 

Senior Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) fired a 75 and is in first place to lead the women. She is followed by freshman Natalee Johnson (Front Royal, Va./Skyline) (98, T-23rd), sophomore Kaylie Brown (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (104, 27th), freshman Addison Buckland (New Market, Md./Urbana) (105, 28th), and sophomore Allison Wallace (Kearneysville, W.Va./Homeschooled) (122, 31st).

The Rams return to action on Monday for final-round tourney action.
