LOCK HAVEN, Pa. – The Shepherd University cross country team placed second with a 54 in a three-team field at the Go-Fast River Run hosted by Lock Haven University on Saturday. IUP took the team title with a 15, and Katie McCormick of IUP took individual honors with a time of 24:11.60.
The Rams were led by junior
Riley Staub (Inwood, W.Va./Musselman) who finished 13th with a time of 28:40.40. She was followed by freshman
Aubrey Fernandez (Warrenton, Va./Fauquier/Emory and Henry)(14th,26:53.1), freshman
Jaclyn Unger (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) (15th, 28:49.90), sophomore
Zoe Boyd (Salisbury, Md./James M. Bennett) (19th,31:19.90), junior
Ashley Anderson (Charles Town, W.Va./Woodgrove (Va.)) (20th, 31:54.60), and freshman Gabrielle Thompson Servant (Berlin, Md./Stephen Decatur) (21st, 33:37.00).
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to the NCAA II Atlantic Regional Championship hosted by Lock Haven University.
