EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Shepherd University (19-9, 8-6 PSAC East) fell to East Stroudsburg (21-8, 10-5 PSAC East) in five sets in PSAC East volleyball action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday. The Rams dropped a 20-25, 25-20, 25-27, 25-18, 4-15 decision.
Junior outside hitter Amya Davis (Cortlandt Manor, N.Y./Hendrick Hudson) led the Rams with 15 kills. Freshman outside hitter Ada McCoy (Bunker Hill, W.Va./Musselman) had 12 kills and a block. Junior middle hitter Rylee Lenz (Earleville, Md./Bohemia Manor) added nine kills and three blocks.
Senior setter Macy Buso (Parker, Colo./Chaparral) recorded a match-high 41 assists and 10 digs. Sophomore libero Kiela Sanger (Sunnyvale, Texas/Sunnyvale) posted 18 digs.
Anna Coulter recorded a match-high 16 kills and two aces for the Warriors. Kyra Bishop added a match-high 19 digs and two aces.
The Rams, seeded third in the East, will travel to face Indiana (Pa.), the second seed in the West, on Tuesday at 6 p.m. in quarterfinal action of the PSAC Championship.
