Shepherd Women Fall at Millersville

MILLERSVILLE, Pa. – Morgan Mahoney had a team-high 16 points to lead Millersville (16-12, 11-10 PSAC)  to a 67-51 win over Shepherd  (7-21, 4-17 PSAC)  in PSAC women's basketball action at Millersville in the season finale for the Rams on Saturday. 

Freshman forward Lamaria Estridge  (Walkersville, Md./St. Andrew's Episcopal) led the Rams with a game-high 19 points and three rebounds. Estridge connected on 7-of-13 field goals with a 2-of-3 effort from behind the arc. She was 3-of-8 effort from the charity stripe. She added three boards and a steal. 

Sophomore guard Cassidy Rhodes (Point of Rocks, Md./Brunswick) added 10 points. Sophomore forward Carmaya Bowman (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley)  recorded six points, a team-high seven boards and three steals. Sophomore guard Kara Wehner (Staten Island, N.Y./Xaverian) contributed a game-high eight assists, while sophomore forward Jenna Liska (Eldersburg, Md./Liberty/Frostburg State) added five points and five boards.
 
Brenna Ortwein added 12 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Marauders. Kali March tossed in 11 points.

Millersville had a 32-29 lead at halftime.
 
The Marauders outscored the Rams 17-7 in the fourth quarter to pull away for the win.

Shepherd had a 31.5 percent (17-54) field goal percentage with a 23.8 percent (5-21) effort from beyond the arc for the game. The Rams hit 54.5 percent (12-22) from the foul line. 

Millersville connected on 51.9 percent (28-54) of its field goals with 58.3 percent effort (7-12) from three-point range. The Marauders hit 66.7 percent (4-6) of their free throws.
 
Millersville had a 40-27 rebounding advantage. Shepherd forced 19 turnovers and committed 13.
