SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Shepherd University (14-14, 2-6 PSAC East) dropped a pair of games to Mansfield (10-13, 4-4) PSAC East) in PSAC East doubleheader baseball action at Fairfax Field on Saturday. The Rams dropped a 6-5 decision in game one and came up short on an 8-5 outcome in the nightcap.
Mansfield took a 1-0 lead in the first inning in game one on an RBI-single by Cole Serfass.
Mansfield took a 3-0 lead in the third behind a two-RBI single by Serfass.
Mansfield added to their score to make it 6-0 in the seventh when Shane Stossel hit a three-run homer.
The Rams plated five runs in the seventh inning. Senior outfielder
Trey Sine (Martinsburg, W.Va./ Martinsburg) and junior shortstop
Ethan Burgreen (Winchester, Va./Millbrook) each had two-run doubles, while junior outfielder
Bodie Pullen (Winchester, Va./James Wood) added a two-run single.
Burgreen and Greaney each had a pair of hits for the Rams.

Mansfield got on the board in the fourth on an RBI-double from Serfass.
Mansfield plated four runs on three in the fifth to take a 5-3 lead.
Mansfield scored three runs in the sixth to take an 8-3 lead with a two-run single by Jacob Houtz keying the rally.
Greaney belted a two-run homer in the seventh to complete the scoring.
Greaney went 3-for-4 to lead the Rams.
