LOCK HAVEN, Pa. -- Graduate student forward Chase Paar (Mount Airy, Md./Glenelg Country School/Towson) of the Shepherd University men's basketball team has been named PSAC East Defensive Athlete of the Week as announced by the league office on Monday. Paar gained PSAC weekly honors for the fourth time this season.

Paar averaged 16 points and 11.5 rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Rams. He also added five steals and three blocked shots. Paar had 16 points and 13 boards in a win over Shippensburg on Wednesday. He added 16 points and 10 boards in a win over Millersville on Saturday.
