MOHNTON, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team is in second place in an eight-team field after first-round action of the Alvernia Spring Invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club on Monday.

Junior Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico)  and junior Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, /Thailand International Community School) lead the Rams as they each carded a 76 to tie for seventh place. They were followed by junior Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) and freshman Campbell Koegler (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) (T-16th, 80) and junior Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (T-20th, 82).

The Rams return to action on Tuesday for final-round tournament play.
