MOHNTON, Pa. – The Shepherd University men's golf team shot a two-run total of 324 to finish in second place in an eight-team field at the Alvernia Spring Invitational at LedgeRock Golf Club on Tuesday. Millersville took team honors with a total of 316. Timothy Peters of Millersville took medalist honors firing a two-round total of 147.
Junior Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) and junior Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok/Thailand International Community School) led the Rams as they each carded a two-round total of 159 to tie for 11th place. They were followed by junior Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) and freshman Campbell Koegler (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) (T-13th, 160) and junior Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (T-22nd, 164).
The Rams return to action on Monday when they travel to West Chester for the Dr. Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational.
