QUARRYVILLE, Pa. – The Shepherd University women's golf team had three members compete at the Millersville Classic at Tanglewood Manor Golf Course on Saturday. Millersville took team honors with a team total of 339.
Junior
Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) fired an 81 and finished in second place due to a tiebreaker with Millersville's Emma Schotsch. Schotschi was the individual medalist on a second tiebreaker with Veara. The first tiebreaker was back-nine score, which was matching, and it was decided on score on the No. 1 handicap hole (#8).
Veara was followed by graduate student
Olivia Rosick, (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (93, T-28th) and freshman
Paige Stickley (Walkersville, Md./Walkersville) (154, 62nd).
The Rams return to action on Thursday for the Husky Spring Invitational.
