WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Shepherd University golf teams competed in first-round action at the Dr. Edwin P. Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oaks Golf Club on Monday. The men are in sixth in a 12-team field, while the women's team had two members compete as individuals.
 
Junior Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) leads the Rams firing a 72 and is in first place. He is followed by junior Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (T-12th, 75), junior Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (T-25th, 77), freshman Campbell Koegler (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) (T-56th, 84), junior Nop Satjavitvisarn (Yannawa Bangkok, /Thailand International Community School) (T-60th, 85), and junior Luke Davis (Clear Brook, Va. James Wood) (63rd, 87).

Junior Sara Veara, (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) fired a 78 and is in third place for the women.  She was followed by graduate student Olivia Rosick, (Purcellville, Va./Woodgrove) (25th, 93).

The Rams return to action Tuesday for final round tournament play.
