BELLE VERNON, Pa. – The Shepherd University Men's golf team completed final-round action at the Vulcan Invitational at Cedarbrook Golf Course on Tuesday. The Rams finished ninth in a 12-team field with a team total of 612. Mattia Parrini of Gannon took individual medalist honors with a 140. Gannon took team honors with a 598.
Senior Trey Rios (Denver, Pa./Cocalico) (78, T-7th) fired a two-round total 148 and finished tied for seventh place to lead the Rams. He was followed by senior Morgan Dehoff (Rohrersville, Md./Boonsboro) (152, T-18th), senior Joey Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (153, T-22nd), freshman Killian Donnelly (Palmyra, Va./Palmyra) (159, 45th), and sophomore Andrew Taylor (Summit Point, W.Va./Washington) (167, T-62nd).
The Rams return to action on Monday for the Edwin B. Cottrell Invitational.
