Shepherd Women’s Lacrosse Falls at #9 East Stroudsburg

EAST STROUDSBURG, Pa. – Four players scored three goals to lead #9 East Stroudsburg (11-0, 6-0 PSAC East) to a 21-4 win over Shepherd (2-7, 1-5 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at East Stroudsburg on Saturday.

Senior attacker Rebekah Forney (Adamstown, Md./Mount De Sales) scored two goals and added an assist to lead the Rams.

Sophomore midfielder Grace Lyon (Ocean City, Md./McDonough) added a goal and an assist, while sophomore midfielder Katherine Stevenson (Middletown, Md./Middletown) netted a goal and senior attacker Madison Peacher (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) had an assist.
                                                                                                                                
Junior midfielder Aubrey Harrison (Fairmont, W.Va./Fairmont Senior), junior defender Luetta Seipp (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley), and Lyon each had three ground balls and a pair of caused turnovers to lead the defensive effort. Lyon also recorded a match-high five draw controls.

Sadie Kauffman, Courtney Reynolds, Hannah Schiemer, and Jolee Roth each scored three goals for the Warriors. Katie Bullen and Lauren Hallman each tallied a pair of goals.

Freshman netminder Bailey Terry (Rockville, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) (45:48, 13 GA, 1 save) and senior goalkeeper Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) (14:12, 8 GA, 1 save) combined for two saves for the Rams. Abby Simonetti (25:52, 2 GA, 1 save), Madison McBride (29:08, 0 GA, 4 saves), and Rachel Zabko (5:20, 2 GA, 1 save) teamed to post six saves for the Warriors.

The Warriors held a 39-15 advantage in shots and a 23-10 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 10-of-13 in clears while East Stroudsburg was 15-of-23. East Stroudsburg had a 28-14 advantage in ground balls. Shepherd had a 14-12 edge in draw controls.

The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they host Kutztown for a 4 p.m. contest.
