SHEPHERDSTOWN, W.Va. – Kayla Stressman scored five goals to lead Bloomsburg (4-9, 3-6 PSAC East) to a 17-11 win over Shepherd (2-9, 1-6 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action on Senior Day at Ram Stadium on Saturday.
Junior midfielder
Aubrey Harrison (Fairmont, W.Va./Fairmont Senior) led the Rams with three goals. Senior attacker
Rebekah Forney (Adamstown, Md./Mount De Sales) added a pair of goals and three assists. Harrison also had a team-high four draw controls.
Sophomore attacker
Kloey Batchellor (Hanover, Pa./South Western/York College) netted two goals, while sophomore attacker
Grace Meyer (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) had a goal and an assist.
Senior attacker
Holly Poe (Sykesville, Md./Century), sophomore midfielder
Katherine Stevenson (Middletown, Md./Middletown), and freshman attacker
Hadley Robertson (New Market, Md./Linganore) each scored a goal. Sophomore midfielder
Britney Warner (Hughesville, Md./La Plata) added an assist.
Junior defender
Luetta Seipp (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) recorded a game-high eight ground balls to pace the Shepherd defense. Seipp (102) went over 100 ground balls for her career.
Marykate Sitko added three goals for the Huskies, while Brianna Austin and Samantha Keck each scored a pair.
Freshman netminder
Bailey Terry (Rockville, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) (15:29, 4 GA, 2 saves) and senior goalkeeper
Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) (44:31, 13 GA, 7 saves) combined for nine saves for the Rams. Emily Graham had eight saves for the Huskies.
The Huskies had a 32-29 advantage in shots and a 26-19 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 17-of-21 in clears while Bloomsburg was 17-of-17. Bloomsburg had a 25-22 advantage in ground balls and a 15-11 edge in draw controls.
The Rams return to action on Wednesday when they travel to West Chester for a 4 p.m. contest.
