Shepherd Women's Lacrosse Falls at Shippensburg

SHIPPENSBURG, Pa. –  Shannon Wood and Ali Pioli each scored three goals to lead Shippensburg (7-9, 4-7 PSAC East) to a 17-5 win over Shepherd (2-12, 1-9 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's lacrosse action at Shippensburg on Wednesday.

Freshman attacker Hadley Robertson (New Market, Md./Linganore)  scored a pair of goals to pace the Rams. Senior attacker Rebekah Forney (Adamstown, Md./Mount De Sales) added a goal and an assist.

Sophomore attacker Kloey Batchellor (Hanover, Pa./South Western/York College) and senior attacker Madison Peacher (Quakertown, Pa./Quakertown) each netted a goal.
Sophomore attacker Grace Meyer (Ijamsville, Md./Oakdale) had two assists, while sophomore midfielder Britney Warner (Hughesville, Md./La Plata) added another.

Junior defender Luetta Seipp (Hampstead, Md./Manchester Valley) led the defensive effort with a match-high eight caused turnovers and a team-high five ground balls.  
                                                                             
Erin Reedy added two goals and an assist for the Raiders. Olivia Glinski had a goal and four assists.

Freshman netminder Bailey Terry (Rockville, Md./Academy of the Holy Cross) (28:19, 7 GA, 5 saves) and senior goalkeeper Destiny Rockwell (Glengary, W.Va./Musselman) (31:41, 10 GA, 3 saves) teamed up to record eight saves for the Rams. Izzy Sawicki (52:49, 5 GA, 6 saves) and Leah Cramer (7:11, 0 GA, 1 save) posted seven saves for the Warriors.

The Raiders had a 32-16 advantage in shots and a 25-12 edge in shots on goal. Shepherd was 16-of-22 in clears while Shippensburg was 18-of-21. The Raiders had a 25-21 advantage in ground balls and an 18-6 edge in draw controls.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Kutztown for a 2 p.m. contest. The previous game between the teams at Shepherd that was suspended late in the first half will resume at noon at Kutztown.
