WEST CHESTER, Pa. – The Shepherd University Women's golf team completed first-round action at the Dr. Edwin Cottrell Invitational at Penn Oak Golf Club on Monday. The Rams are in sixth-place in a six-team field. 

Senior Sara Veara (Berkeley Springs, W.Va./Berkeley Springs) fired a one-round total of 82 and is tied for seventh place to lead the women. She was followed by freshman Addison Buckland (New Market, Md./Urbana) (98, T-27th), freshman Natalee Johnson (Front Royal, Va./Skyline) (102, T-29th), sophomore Kaylie Brown (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (103, 31st). and sophomore Allison Wallace (Kearneysville, W.Va./Homeschooled) (115, 33rd),  

The Rams return to action on Tuesday for final-round action.
