Carrie Bodkins, Shepherd University Director of Athletics, and the Shepherd University Athletic Club (SUAC) Board of Directors are pleased to announce that Kelly Colbert (SC/SU '87) will continue to serve as SUAC Board President for the 2026-2027 year. This will mark Kelly's fourth consecutive term leading the organization.

In this volunteer role, Kelly will continue to provide leadership and oversight in advancing the SUAC's mission of supporting Shepherd University Athletics and enhancing the experience of our student-athletes. Through fundraising, relationship building, and community engagement, the SUAC continues to serve as a vital partner to the Department of Athletics.

The SUAC is entering its eighth year of supporting Shepherd Athletics as a complementary fundraising and engagement organization. Since its founding, the SUAC has played an instrumental role in providing resources and opportunities that directly benefit our programs and student-athletes.

A former Shepherd student-athlete and founding member of the SUAC, Kelly recently retired from Citibank after 36 years of dedicated service. He currently resides in Hagerstown, Maryland, with his wife, Jill.

"Kelly's continued leadership and commitment to Shepherd Athletics have been invaluable," said Carrie Bodkins, Director of Athletics. "His passion for our student-athletes, our programs, and our community exemplifies the mission of the SUAC and the impact that alumni and supporters can make."
