Reagan Ackermann (Myersville, Md./Middletown/UNC Wilmington) scored a pair of goals to lead 19th-ranked Shepherd University (3-0-0, 2-0-0 PSAC East) to a 2-0 win over Shippensburg (1-1-1, 0-1-0 PSAC East) in PSAC East women's soccer action on Wednesday night.
Ackermann scored a left-footed goal on an assist from junior forward
Merritt Delk (Wheeling, W.Va./Wheeling Park) at the 16:18 mark to give the Rams a 1-0 advantage at the break.
Ackermann added a right-footed tally on a pass from sophomore defender/midfielder
Aniyah Parker (Egg Harbor Township, N.J./Egg Harbor Township) at the 83:11 mark to complete the scoring.
Redshirt junior netminder
Alex Stuart (New Market, Md./Linganore/Eastern Kentucky) recorded one save in a shutout effort for the Rams. Kirstin Brown recorded 10 saves for the Raiders.
Shepherd had a 20-4 advantage in shots with a 4-1 margin in shots on goal. Shippensburg had a 5-1 edge in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they host Kutztown at 1 p.m. for Youth Day.
