WEST CHESTER, Pa. – West Chester (3-3-2, 3-2-0 PSAC East) recorded a 1-0 win over Shepherd University (4-2-3, 1-2-2 PSAC East) in PSAC East men's soccer action at West Chester on Sunday afternoon.
Maksym Komperda scored on an assist from Luke Newman at the 83:25 mark to lift the Golden Rams to the win.

Aidan Houck (Ellicott City, Md./Marriotts Ridge) recorded four saves for the Rams. Jaden Howard posted six saves for the Golden Rams.
Both teams took 14 shots with West Chester holding a 6-4 edge in shots on goal. The Golden Rams had a 4-3 advantage in corner kicks.
The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Slippery Rock for a 3 p.m. contest.
