BELLE VERNON, Pa. –  The Shepherd University men's golf team fired a 453 to rank 10th in a 14-team field after completing first day action of the Vulcan Invitational on Thursday. The Shepherd women fired a 523 to rank in 10th place in an 18-team field after completing first day action.

Redshirt sophomore Killian Donnelly (Palmyra, Va./Palmyra) led the men as he is tied for 14th place. He was followed by freshman Tyler Beard (Beaver, W.Va./Shady Spring) (T-26th), junior Ben Heidrick (Rosedale, Md./Calvert Hall) (T-49th), freshman Luke Leisinger (Hagerstown, Md./South Hagerstown) (T-65th), and junior Andrew Taylor (Summit Point, W.Va./Washington) (74th).

Sophomore Natalee Johnson (Front Royal, Va./Skyline) fired a 126 to tie for 25th place to pace the women, She was followed by freshman Ella Mochoruk (Strasburg, Va./Strasburg) (128, T-36th), junior Kaylie Brown (Williamsport, Md./Williamsport) (133, T-48th), sophomore Addison Buckland (New Market, Md./Urbana) (144, T-64th), and junior Allison Wallace (Kearneysville, W.Va./Homeschooled) (168, 82nd).

The Rams return to action on Friday.
