Biography
2017: Team captain ... appeared an started in 14 games ... gained second team All-MEC honors as she recorded 13 goals and 11 assists for 24 points ... tied for the team lead with 35 ground balls ... added a team-best 42 draw controls, and 17 caused turnovers ... posted career highs of four assists and six points against Charleston ... had a career-high six ground balls against West Virginia Wesleyan ... named to MEC All-Tournament Team ... selected to IWLCA Academic Honor Squad.
2016: Appeared and started in all 18 games ... recorded nine goals and nine assists for 18 points ... added a team second-best 36 draw controls, was first on the team with 40 ground balls, and tied for first with 25 caused turnovers... posted a career-high four caused turnovers against Edinboro... named MEC Defensive Player of the Week for April 26 ... named a McMurran Scholar -- Shepherd highest academic honor.
2015: Appeared and started in all 17 games... recorded 12 goals and five assists for 17 points... was second on the team with 40 draw controls... added 36 ground balls and 14 caused turnovers... had two goals and one assist in wins over Wheeling Jesuit and Findlay... had a career-high six draw controls against Findlay.
2014: Appeared and started in all 16 games... had six goals and two assists for eight points... added 41 draw controls and 24 ground balls, and seven caused turnovers... named to Division II All-Independent second team... also selected to Division II Independent All-Freshman Team.
Prior to Shepherd: A 2013 graduate of Oakdale High School where she played lacrosse for Beth Nave... lettered in lacrosse and field hockey... gained Second Team MVAL lacrosse honors... a two-time US Lacrosse Academic All-American.
Personal: The daughter of Thomas and Amy Schwiegerath... majoring in recreation/leisure studies.
