2015: Appeared in 14 games with 10 starts. A second team All-MEC choice as he recorded 28 tackles with 22 solo stops. Led the team with five interceptions (113 yards). Added 10 pass breakups.
 
2014: Appeared in five games. Recorded three tackles with two solo stops.

2013: Appeared in 10 games. Recorded seven tackles with five solo stops.

2012: Redshirted.

Personal: The son of Eugene and Denise Coles. A 2012 graduate of Potomac High School, Coles is majoring in sport marketing.
