2012: Appeared and started in 45 games. Batted .263 with 44 hits in 167 at-bats. Scored 31 runs and drove in 36. Had eight doubles, two triples, and three home runs. Posted a 3-2 mark on the mound with a 5.71 ERA. Fanned 17 in 41 innings.

2011: Appeared in 25 games with 21 starts. Batted .231 with 15 hits in 65 at-bats. Drove in 16 runs and scored eight. had four doubles and a home run. Appeared in three games with two starts on the mound. Posted a 2-0 mark with a 5.06 ERA. Fanned six in 10.2 innings.

2010: Redshirted.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2009 graduate of Osbourn High School where he played baseball for Keith Howell. A member of two district champion teams and a regional champion squad. A two-time All-District selection. Also gained All-Region honors.

Personal: The son of Ray and Lisa Coffey. Majoring in recreation/leisure studies.
