Shepherd University Athletics

2015: Appeared and started in 48 games...batted .318 with 42 hits in 132 at-bats...  scored 35 runs and drove in 22... added six doubles, a triple, and two home runs... was 3-of-5 in stolen bases... drew 18 walks... led the team with five sacrifices.

2014: Appeared in 49 games with 48 starts...batted .271 with 35 hits in 129 at-bats...  scored 31 runs and drove in 24... added nine doubles and two home runs... drew 26 walks (second on the team) and was 9-of-12 in stolen bases.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2010 graduate of Winston Churchill High School where he played baseball for Scott Blackwood...a three-year letterwinner and two-time team captain in baseball... earned honorable mention All-Met honors along with All-Gazette and All-County accolades... batted .518 with a 7-0 record and 2.24 ERA on the mound as a senior.... a transfer from Colorado Mesa.

Personal: The son of Richard and Sondra Shemer... majoring in secondary education/mathematics... his father, Richard, was a JUCO All-American at Montgomery College and also played baseball at James Madison University.
