Andrew Kowalo enters his third season at the helm after being named head baseball coach at Shepherd in August 2024.

The Rams posted 29-13 overall mark with a 14-14 record in conference play in 2025. Shepherd made its first PSAC Tournament appearance since 2021. The Rams posted their first-ever PSAC Tournament win with a 3-0 triumph over host Slippery Rock. Additionally, Ryan Fluharty gained first team All-PSAC East honors. Fluharty also gained a trio of All-Atlantic Region accolades.

In Kowalo's first season at the helm in 2025 the Rams posted a 25-25 overall mark with a 12-16 recorded in conference play. Daniel Quintana and Aidan Greaney earned first team All-PSAC East honors, The pair also garnered All-Atlantic Region honors.

Kowalo came to Shepherd after serving as an assistant coach at Liberty University since 2022.

Prior to working at Liberty, Kowalo was an assistant at Potomac State for two years. He also previously worked as a volunteer assistant on the staff at Virginia Military Institute.
 
Kowalo also had stints working for Prep Baseball Report in New York and Pennsylvania and for the GSP Baseball Training Center.
 
A 2018 graduate of Liberty University, Kowalo was the starting second baseman for the Flames for the 2017-18 seasons. He hit .270 with 13 home runs, 74 runs batted in, and 68 runs scored over those two seasons. He posted a .389 on-base percentage in 110 games. He started all 55 games as a senior.
 
Prior to playing at Liberty, Kowalo played two seasons at Potomac State. He hit .371 with a .458 on-base percentage and .507 slugging percentage in 2014 and posted a .405 batting average with a .510 on-base percentage in 2015. He helped lead the Catamounts to the Region XX Championship in 2015.
