Prior to Shepherd: A 2023 graduate of St. Joseph Academy where he played baseball for Chris Caprio ... lettered three years in baseball ... earned first team All-Conference and was named top player in the conference as a junior ... gained All-Conference honors as a senior ... named a preseason All-American ... received the SJA Raddy Domenico Baseball Award for Leadership ... led the conference in hits and RBI as he batted .455 with five home runs as a junior ... batted .405 with 25 RBI in 20 games as a senior ... gained Defensive Award for catching.

Personal: The son of Margo and Corey Ahart ... majoring in criminal justice/sports management ... his father, Corey, played baseball at Gonzaga University (1988-90) and earned All-Pac-10 honors ... his cousin, Nicholas Mascaro, played baseball at Cypress College and now plays at Cal State Bakersfield.
