Biography

2013: Appeared in five games. Batted .500 with two hits in four at-bats. Had a double and scored a run. Posted an 0-0 mark witha a 5.14 ERA in five appearances. Fanned four in 7.0 innings.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2012 graduate of Patuxent High School where he played baseball for Keith Powell. A three-year letterwinner in baseball. A member of the 2012 2A South Regional team. Named First Team All-SMAC and County Athlete of the Year. Posted a 7-0 mark on the mound with an 0.66 ERA as a senior. His 14 career wins are most in school history.

Personal: The son of Paul and Carol Castro. Majoring in mathematics.
