Prior to Shepherd: A 2019 graduate of DeMatha Catholic High School where he played baseball for Sean O'Connor ... a two-time  All-Washington Catholic Athletic Conference (WCAC) selection ... helped lead DeMatha to back-to-back WCAC championship games ... compiled a 1.79 ERA as a junior with a 1-4 record, 35 K's in 31.1 innings and seven saves in eight tries ... finished the season with 13.0 straight scoreless innings ... hit .316 with and OBP of .435 ...  compiled a 5-2 record (1 save) with a 2.92 ERA in 48.0 innings pitched (56 Ks) as the number one starter as a senior ...began his career by hurling 15.1 consecutive scoreless innings in WCAC postseason play ... a three-time Perfect Game All-American ... a transfer from Harford Community College where he played baseball for Josh Houser ...went 1-0 at HCC with an ERA of 5.89 ... had a 1.38 strikeouts/inning mark.
