Prior to Shepherd: A 2020 graduate of Urbana High School where he played baseball for Mike Frownfelter ... lettered four years in baseball ... garnered first team All-State and first team All-County honors ... also gained honorable mention Perfect Game accolades ... had 18 stolen bases and ranked in the Top Three in most offensive categories as a junior ... had a .380 career batting average with an ERA under 1.00 ... gained Academic Honor Roll all four years and NSHS honors.

Personal: The son of Amie and Michael Walters ... majoring in business ... his grandfather, Ronald Walters, was a wide receiver/kick returner at Michigan (1969-71) ... his great great uncle, Dwight Eisenhower, played football at Army ... his cousin, Mary Lou Retton, was an Olympic gold medalist in gymnastics ... his cousin, Dawn Walters, is a 2005 Shepherd graduate.
