Prior to Shepherd: A 2016 graduate of Fairmont Senior High School where he plated baseball for Dave Ricer ...  earned four letters in baseball ... a two-time TImes-West Virginian Player of the Year honoree ... also a two-time first team All-Big Ten choice ... a transfer from Chattanooga State CC where he played baseball for Greg Dennis ...  gained TCCAA Player of the Week honors ... had a .284 batting average with a .409 on base percentage ... added nine doubles,  five triples, and  30 RBI.

Personal: Majoring in business administration.
