Prior to Shepherd: A 2025 graduate of Jefferson High School where he played baseball for John Lowery ... an All-AP Student ... graduated Summa Cum Laude ... had a .340 batting average with 32 hits and 20 stolen bases.

Personal:  The son of Megan Shard and Mike Hefner ... majoring in computer science... his uncle, Neil Toothman '09, played baseball at Shepherd (2005-09).
