2023: Appeared in 12 games with 11 starts ... recorded 39 tackles (20 solos) ... added a team-best four interceptions and six pass breakups ... had 21 kickoff returns for 506 yards (24.10 average) ... recorded a season-high eight tackles (2 solos) against California (Pa.).

2022: Appeared in all 15 games with 14 starts ... recorded 44 tackles (36 solos) ... added two tackles-for-loss (-6 yards) ... posted three pass breakups and a fumble recovery.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2018 graduate of Edgewood High School where he played football for Charles Johnson ... lettered in football, indoor track, and track and field ... a first team All Conference, a second team All-County and NUC All-American at wide receiver as a junior ... garnered first team All-County, All-Conference, All-Metro, and All State honors at defensive back as a senior ... had 15 catches for 521 yards  and a pair of scores as a senior ... added 50 tackles, nine pass breakups, and 11 interceptions for 136 yards ... a transfer from Alabama State ,... a two-time SWAC All-Academic Team honoree.

Personal: The son of Darlisa Bryant and Alonzo McDowell ... majoring in sports marketing ... his father, Alonzo, played at Montgomery-Rockville and Hampton ... his uncle, Michael McDowell, coached at numerous high schools in the Richmond are and also coached for several Arena League teams ... his cousin, Malik McDowell, played at Michigan State and is currently with the Cleveland Browns ... his cousin, Isaiah Wilson, played at Georgia and was an offensive lineman for the Tennessee Titans ... his cousin, Derrick White, played basketball at Norfolk State and later  played professionally in Europe ... his cousin, Roderick McDowell,  played football at Clemson and Louisiana-Monroe ... his cousin, Brandon Hall, played football at West Virginia.
