Entering his seventh year as an assistant coach for the Rams is Hussam Ouri. Ouri serves as the offensive line/assistant tight ends/fullbacks coach and head football strength and conditioning coach.
In 2019 the Shepherd offensive line helped the Rams rank first nationally in passing yards per game (347.0) and helped All-American Deonte Glover rush for 1,359 yards and 19 touchdowns. The Rams topped the PSAC in total offense with a 507.0 per game average. Three Shepherd offensive linemen gained All-PSAC honors with Keandre Batson (second team) and Eric Ostrow (honorable mention) also garnering All-American accolades. Additionally, the Rams topped NCAA II teams in tackles-for-loss allowed (3.23) and ranked sixth in sacks allowed (0.85).
In 2018 Shepherd averaged 437.6 yards and 34.8 points per game. The Rams gained 1,612 yards on the ground with a 18 touchdowns and a 4.0 yards per carry average.
In 2017 averaged 507.1 total offense yards per game and 45.64 points per game. The Rams rushed for 2,223 yards and 27 touchdowns with a 5.5 yards per carry average. The offensive line paved the way for Jabre Lolley to rush for 1,115 yards and 15 touchdowns.
In 2016 Shepherd averaged 457.9 total offense yards and 38.64 points. The Rams rushed for 2,745 yards and 33 touchdowns with a 4.0 yards per carry average. Brandon Hlavach rushed for 1,217 yards and 15 touchdowns as Shepherd advanced to the national semifinals.
In 2015 Shepherd posted a record-setting 13-1 mark en route to the national championship game. The Shepherd offense averaged 394.1 yards and 37.43 points per game. The Rams rushed for 2,213 yards and 27 touchdowns with Allen Cross rushing for over 1,000 yards.
Ouri is a USSCC Certified Strength and Condition Specialist and holds a USAW (USA Weightlifting) Level 1 Olympic Certification.
Ouri was four-year player and a three-year starter on the offensive line for the Rams. He was a three-time All-Conference performer. He served as a team captain in 2014 and gained First Team All-MEC and Second Team All-Region honors. He also earned National Football Foundation (NFF) Hampshire Honor Society accolades.
Ouri is a 2015 Shepherd graduate with a degree in recreation/leisure studies with a concentration in exercise science. He also gained his MBA degree from Shepherd.
