Entering his fourth season on the Shepherd staff is Jarrod Kellar. Kellar coaches the wide receivers. He previously coached the tight ends/fullbacks in 2021.
In 2024 Kellar helped Shepherd lead NCAA II in completion percentage (.694) and quarterback Lek Powell rank third (.697) in that category. Cameron Dorner gained second team All-PSAC East honors as he paced the Rams in receptions (52) receiving yards (702) , and touchdown receptions (5)
Shepherd wide receiver Jeremiah Taylor gained first team All-PSAC East honors in 2023 under Kellar as he led the Rams with 66 receptions for 859 yards and eight touchdowns. The Rams ranked third in the PSAC in passing offense, team passing efficiency, and total offense.
In 2022 Kellar helped Shepherd rank second in NCAA II in completion percentage (.699), second in first downs offense (354), seventh in passing offense (312.5), and ninth in scoring offense (39.2). Marlon Cook and Ryan Beach gained first team All-PSAC honors for the Rams. Cook also garnered All-American honors.
Prior to joining Shepherd, Kellar was a graduate assistant at Glenville State in 2019-21. He coached the quarterbacks and running backs for the Pioneers.
Kellar started his collegiate career at California (Pa.) and later played at Lenoir-Rhyne and Edinboro. He earned his bachelor's degree from Edinboro in 2019.
