2018: Appeared in nine games... recorded five tackles (four solos) ... added a forced fumble.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2018 graduate of Potomac High School where he played football for Ronnie Crump ... lettered in football, track, and baseball ... earned Team MVP honors.

Personal: The son of Donnie Newman and Shaquida Ano ... majoring in sports management.
