Prior to Shepherd: A 2023 graduate of Jefferson High School where he played football for former Ram Craig Hunter ... a three-year starter for the Cougars ... is the all-time leading rusher in school history ... a second team All-State running back ... a two-time first team All-Area and All-EPAC choice ... gained 2,722 career rushing yards with 40 career touchdowns.

Personal: The son of Juanita McNamee and Shawn Tewell ... majoring in health promotion and exercise science ... his brother, Dylan Horne, played baseball at James Madison and was drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 2015 MLB Draft ... his sister, Kayla Dietrich Peterson, was a cheerleader (2009-13) at Shepherd and graduated in 2013 ... his brother-in-law, QJ Peterson, played basketball at VMI and after playing professionally overseas, is now playing for the New York Knicks summer league team.
