Prior to Shepherd: A 2022 graduate of Governor Thomas Johnson High School where he played football for for former Ram Bobby Humphries ... had 19 catches for 189 yards and two scores as a sophomore ... had 21 receptions for 435 yards and six touchdowns as a junior ... had 12 catches for 240 yards and two scores as a wide receiver as a senior  ... posted 275 rushing yards and five rushing touchdowns, 175 passing yards and two scores at quarterback as a senior  ... added 335 rushing yards and three touchdowns at running back as a senior.
