Prior to Shepherd: A 2014 graduate of Oakdale High School, where he played football for Kurt Stein... a three-year letterwinner in football and basketball...a second team All-Area and second team All-Conference selection...played in Baltimore Touchdown Club All-Star Game... selected to Buffalo Wild Wings Roundball Classic All-Star Game. had 16 catches for 306 yards and three touchdowns... added 44 tackles, four sacks, a forced fumble, a fumble recovery, and a safety.

Personal: The son of Edward Simpson and Elisa Lemaire... majoring in sport communication.
