2025: Appeared in 11 games with nine starts ... earned All-PSAC East honors (DB and RS) as he recorded 42 tackles (30 solos) with 1.5 tackles-for-loss (-5 yards) ... he added five interceptions for 99 yards, four pass breakups, four forced fumbles, and a fumble recovery ... is 0.45 interceptions per game tie for the lead in the PSAC and rank him eighth nationally ...  ranks seventh nationally in forced fumbles with a 0.36 per game average ... added 17 punt returns for an 11.35 average ... ranks 14th nationally in punt returns ... gained D2CCA All-Super Region One honors at defensive back (FT) and return specialist (ST) ... garnered second team All-American honors from D2CCA, Associated Press, and Don Hansen.

2024: Appeared and started in all 11 games ... recorded 44 tackles (31 solos) with 1.5 tackles-for-loss (-8 yards) ... added three pass breakups, an interception, and a forced fumble.

2023: Did not see any action.

2022: Appeared and started in all 15 games ... gained first team All-PSAC East honors as he recorded 53 tackles (43 solos) ... added 1.5 tackles-for-loss (-2 yards) ... led the team in pass breakups (9) and tied for the team lead in interceptions (4) ... had a 28-yard interception return for a score in a win over Kutztown ... added a 28-yard interception return for a touchdown in postseason win over IUP ...

2021: Appeared in all 15 games ... recorded 15 tackles (nine solos) with 0.2 tackles-for-loss (-1 yard) ... added a pair of interceptions and a pass breakup ... posted a career-high four tackles and a career-high two interceptions in a postseason win at Kutztown ... had a 32-yard pick-six in the second quarter against the Golden Bears.

2020-21: Appeared in the Mercyhurst game ... recorded one solo tackle.

Prior to Shepherd:  A 2020 graduate of Saint Charles High School where he played football for Patrick Orndorff ... lettered three years in football and basketball ... also lettered in track ... earned Outstanding Athlete of the Year, Exemplary Attendance Senior Year Award, and Most Outstanding Athlete of the Year awards.

Personal: The son of Michelle and Douglas Batten ,,, majoring in recreation and sport studies ... his brother, Kordell, is a wide receiver for the Rams.
