2018: Appeared in nine games with three starts ... recorded 15 tackles with nine solo stops ...  added one tackle-for-loss (-1 yard) and a fumble recovery.

2017: Did not see any action.

2016: Redshirted.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2016 graduate of The Avalon School where he played football for Tyree Spinner ... also lettered in basketball ... earned All-Conference honors as a defensive back ... recorded 152 tackles, 28 tackles-for-loss,  six forced fumbles, four interceptions, and a pair of fumble recoveries.

Personal: The son of Keisha Blackman ... majoring in sports communications.
