2023: Appeared in seven games ... had 27 carries for 100 yards and a pair of touchdowns ... had 10 carries for a season-high 46 yards and a score against Edinboro.

2022: Appeared in four games ... had nine carries for 91 yards and a pair of touchdowns ... his 10.1 yards per carry led the team ... had five carries for 57 yards, including a 42-yard touchdown jaunt against Lock Haven ... had a pair of carries for 28 yards, including a 27-yard touchdown scamper against Bloomsburg ... added a reception for five yards against the Huskies.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2019 graduate of Pennsauken High School where he played football for Clinton Tabb ... lettered in football and track and field ... earned first team All-Conference and All-South Jersey honors ... a second team All-State selection ... rushed for more than 1,000 yards as a junior and senior ... rushed for 25 touchdowns as a junior and 17 as a senior ... a member of the State Champion 4 X 100 relay team... also competed on the State Champion 4 X 200 and 4 X 400 relay teams ... a transfer from Lackawanna College.

Personal: The son of Joy Houston and Paul Russell ... majoring in sports management  ... his cousin, Taj Harris, played football at Syracuse and now plays at Rutgers ... his cousin, Kelvin Harmon, played football at NC State and is now a member of the Washington Commanders.
