2017: Appeared in 11 games with nine starts ... recorded 17 tackles with 16 solo stops ... added three pass breakups and an interception.

2016: Appeared in 12 games ... recorded 15 tackles (11 solo) and four pass breakups.

Prior to Shepherd:  A 2015 graduate of North Hagerstown High School where he played for Greg Stains... lettered two years... named First Team All-County his senior season, earned All-Conference Second Team and All-County Second Team honors his junior season... won the conference championship his freshman year.

Personal:  Son of Adam and Rhonda Carter ... majoring in sports marketing.
