2017-18: Appeared in 29 games … averaged 8.6 points, 2.3 rebounds, and 2.8 assists … one of the team’s better free throw shooters with an .811 (73-90) free throw percentage … his 80 assists were second on the team … scored a career-high 23 points against Notre Dame … grabbed a career-high eight rebounds against West Virginia State … handed out a career-high six assists against Virginia Union and West Virginia State.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2015 graduate of Gastonia (N.C.) Day School where he played basketball for Kenny Burr ... gained NCISAA 2A All-State honors as he averaged 12.9 points, 6.4 assists, and 4.8 rebounds ... played his freshman year at New Jersey Tech ... helped lead Louisburg Community College to a 30-5 record and the NJCAA Division II championship.
