2017: Appeared and started in 56 games ... gained first team All-MEC honors as he recorded a .361 batting average with a team-high 79 hits in a team-high 219 at-bats ... drove in 47 runs and scored a team-best 53 ... led the team with 18 doubles ... tied for the team-lead with two triples and 15 home runs ...  drew 22 walks ... led the team with 26 stolen bases in 29 attempts ... recorded a .979 fielding percentage in 143 chances ...  his 219 at-bats set a Shepherd single season record ... a two-time MEC Player of the Week honoree ...  Garnered D2 Baseball HERO of the Week honors for Feb. 17 ...  named MEC Tournament MVP ... gained first team NCBWA, ABCA/Rawlings, and D2CCA All-Region honors ... is the program's all-time leader in stolen bases with 80 in 91 attempts

2016:  Appeared and started in all 54 games ... a first team  All-MEC choice as he batted .367 with 80 hits in 218 at-bats ... drove in 62 runs and scored 53... added 11 home runs, 10 doubles and one triple ... led the team with 38 stolen bases in 41 attempts and drew 15 walks ... his 38 stolen bases established a Shepherd single season mark ... stole five bases in a game against Fairmont State to set a single game mark ... recorded a .966 fielding percentage ... gained first team NCBWA, D2CCA, and ABCA/Rawlings All-Region honors ... garnered honorable mention NCBWA NCAA II All-American honors.

2015:  Appeared and started in 47 games ... gained first team All-MEC honors as he batted .420 with 71 hits in 169 at-bats ... drove in 48 runs and scored 50... added 18 doubles, a triple, and nine home runs ... was 38-of-41 in stolen bases, led the team in stolen bases ... a three-time MEC Player of the Week selection ... gained second team All-Region honors from Daktronics and ABCA/Rawlings.

Prior to Shepherd:  A 2012 graduate of Woodgrove High School where he played baseball for Brad Bauder ... lettered in baseball and football at Woodgrove... previously lettered twice in baseball at Loudoun Valley High School ... a two-time first team Dulles District choice ... also garnered All-State and All-Region accolades ...  had a .402 career batting average ... a transfer from William and Mary.

Personal: The son of Stephen Sarty and Dorothy Fitzhugh ... majoring in computer information sciences ... his grandfather, Stephen Mills, pitched in the minor leagues and was inducted into the Maine Baseball Hall of Fame in 2000.
