Prior to SU: Lettered in basketball at Preston High School....during his senior year at Preston, he averaged 14.6 points, 7.5 rebounds, 4.1 assists, 2.0 steals, and 1.3 blocks... was named First Team All-Conference and Honorable Mention All-State... selected to the West Virginia North-South All-Star Classic and the Dominion Post Area Top Ten... recorded 10 double-doubles and a triple-double... a member of the 2013 Big Ten Conference champion team...
Personal: The son of Stephen and Vicki Koch. A 2013 graduate of Preston High School, Koch is majoring in sociology.
