Shepherd University Athletics

2023: Placed first (4th overall, 12:19:50) on the team at the Hood College Blazer Blitz… came in first (5th overall, 29:48:1) at the D2/D3 Challenge … placed first (27th overall, 27:54.2) at the Don Cathcart Invitational … placed first (94th overall, 27:34.3) at the Aubrey Shenk Invitational  … placed second (103rd overall, 30:00.0)  at the PSAC Championship in… came in first (118th overall, 34:50.2) at the Atlantic Regionals

2022: Came in first place (61st overall, 22:09.6) on the team at the Galen Piper XC Invitational … placed first (94th overall, 30:41.80) at the DII/D111 Challenge … placed first (219th overall, 28:54.00) at the Lock Haven Invitational … came in first place (67th overall, 29:16.2) at the Rowan Inter-Regional Border Battle … came in second (114th overall, 29:33.9.)  at the PSAC Championships … placed first (119th overall, 31:51.0) at the Atlantic Regionals. 

Prior to Shepherd: A 2022 graduate of Musselman High School where he ran cross country for Daniel Rizer ... lettered four years in cross country and track ... spent two seasons with the basketball team ... won Achieving Applemen award four times ... served as president of the National Honor Society... a four-time State qualifier in cross country and three time qualifier in track ... earned state medals in the 4x800 meter relay ... also competed at the states in 4x400, open 400, open 800, and the 1600... set personal best of 51.8 for the 400, 2:01 in the 800, 4:38 in the 1600, and 17:15 for 5K.

Personal: The son of Tonya and Michael Mackey ... majoring in education ... his mother is a 1994 Shepherd graduate ... his father is a 1993 Shepherd graduate and was an assistant coach for the Shepherd baseball team.
