Prior to Shepherd: A 2019 graduate of Potomac Falls High School where he played golf for Jeffrey Hawes ... lettered in golf and basketball ... gained Player of the Year in golf in 2016 ... a  second team All-County choice in 2018 ... had a 75.5 average in high school with a best round of 71.

Personal: The son of Tracie and Jeffrey Hawes ... majoring in secondary education ... his mother was a gymnast at Ohio State.
