Biography

2016: Appeared in 17 games with 10 starts ... posted a 2-2 mark with a 4.20 ERA ... sealed a no-hitter against Virginia Union in the Salem Tournament (2.0 IP, 3Ks, 0BB) ... posted a 1.000 fielding percentage in nine chances.

2015: Appeared in 16 games with 14 starts... posted a 7-6 mark with a 3.92 ERA... fanned 62 in 84 innings...recorded 10 complete games and one shutout...tossed a complete game two-hit shutout against Bowie State. 

2014: Appeared in 23 games with 15 starts...posted a 6-6 mark with a 5.53 ERA... fanned 41 in 81 innings...recorded three complete games and one shutout.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2013 graduate of Mercy High School where she played softball for Kevin Medicus and Sherry Bossle...a four-year varsity softball player, Barstad also lettered in track...earned Most Valuable Player honors in 2010 and  Most Valuable Defensive Player honors in 2012.

Personal: The daughter of Christopher and Michelle Barstad...majoring in chemistry.
