2023: Appeared and started in all 50 games ... gained first team All-PSAC East honors as she batted a team-best .451 with 78 hits in 173 at-bats ... scored a team best 56 runs and drove in a team-high 47 runs ... added 19 doubles, two triples, and six home runs ...  her 119 total bases, 78 hits, 56 runs scored, and 19 doubles set Shepherd single season marks ... paced the team in slugging percentage (.688) and on-base percentage (.495) and OPS (1.183) ... tied for the team lead in sacrifice flies (4) and stolen bases (11) ... posted a .930 fielding percentage in 142 attempts ... named to the Tucci/NFCA Player and Pitcher of the Year Watchlist ... selected as PSAC East Athlete of the Week for March 13 ... she holds Shepherd career marks for most career runs scored (192), most total bases (386), and most hits (266).


2022: Appeared and started in all 39 games ... gained first team All-PSAC East honors as she batted a team-best .426 with a team-best 55 hits in 129 at-bats ... scored a team-best 36 runs and drove in 24 ... topped the team in doubles (10) and triples (5) ... added a pair of home runs ... paces the team with a .493 on-base percentage ... leads the team in stolen bases (14) and walks drawn (17) ... posted a 1-1 record in the circle with a 2.80 ERA ... had seven pitching appearances with three starts ... fanned 11 and walked seven in 30 innings ... posted a .933 fielding percentage in 105 attempts.

2021: Appeared and started in all 40 games ... gained first team All-PSAC East honors as she batted a team-best .433 with a team-best 55 hits in 127 at-bats ... scored a team-best 50 runs  and drove in 25 ... added a team-best 13 doubles, a team-best four triples, and three home runs ... drew a team-best 25 walks .... her .529 on base percentage led the team ... topped the team with 24 stolen bases in 25 attempts ... posted a .961 fielding percentage in 102 chances ... named to 2021 Schutt Sports/NFCA National Player & Pitcher of the Year Top-30 List ... selected as PSAC East Athlete of the Week for April 19 ... gained second team NFCA All-American honors ... earned second team CoSIDA Academic All-American honors.

2020: Appeared and started in all 10 games ... led the team with a .469 batting average with 15 hits in 32 at-bats ... scored five runs and drove in a team-best 10 ...  also topped the team in OPS (1.250), slugging percentage (.750), and on-base percentage (.500) ... added a team-high six doubles and a home run ... drew two walks ... was 1-of-2 in stolen bases ... had an .882 fielding percentage in 17 chances.

2019: Appeared and started in all 60 games ... batted .321 with 63 hits in 196 at-bats ... drove in 29 runs and scored a team-best 45 ... added six doubles, a triple, and two home runs ... was 12-of-13 in stolen bases .. led the team with six sacrifices.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2018 graduate of Centreville High School where she played softball for Donnie Dutton ... lettered four years in softball ... a team captain as a senior ... a three-time team Offensive Player of the Year ... named 2017 Conference Player of the Year ... a first team All-Conference pitcher in 2018 ...  an honorable mention All-Met choice in 2018.

Personal: The daughter of Kathy and Jim Purtell ...  a double major in business administration and sociology ... her sister, Jamieson Purtell, was a pitcher at Mary Washington ... her sister, Courtney Purtell, played softball at Concord.
