Biography

2012: Appeared in 55 games with 54 starts. Gained Second Team All-WVIAC honors as she batted .321 with 51 hits in 159 at-bats. Scored 18 runs and drove in a team-best 30. Led the team with 12 doubles. Added two triples and a home run. Drew 16 walks and was 3-of-4 in stolen bases.

Prior to Shepherd: A 2011 graduate of Northern High School where she played softball for Robert Earl Radford. Lettered in softball, field hockey, swimming, and lacrosse. A member of three state champion softball teams and a pair of regional champion field hockey teams. A two-time All-SWAC outfielder. Had a .427 batting average with 15 doubles, two triples, and a team-best 33 runs batted in as a senior.

Personal: The daughter of Paul and Jeanine Schaefer. Majoring in nursing.
