Entering his first season as assistant women basketball coach for the Rams is Demetric Hightower.
Hightower comes to Shepherd after serving as assistant women’s basketball coach at Moberly Area Community College in Missouri. He trained a pair of All-Region players for the Greyhounds.
Prior to coaching at Moberly Area Community College, Hightower was an assistant women’s basketball coach at Kishwaukee College from 2019-23. He helped lead the Kougars to 17 wins in his second season for the most wins in the program in the past 10 years. He recruited three All-Conference and a pair of All-Region student-athletes.
Hightower also had coaching stints at the high school level as an assistant for the boys basketball team at Danville (IL) High School (2014-17) and served as the head girls coach at Danville (2017-19).
A 2009 graduate of MacMurray College, Hightower holds a bachelor’s degree in education studies.
